Terms of delivery and sale for TransComponent Finland AB

1. Terms of Delivery

1.1. Unless otherwise agreed, all deliveries are Ex Works (our warehouse in Närpiö, Finland). The seller is responsible for the product until it is loaded onto the buyer's designated vehicle.

2. Returns

2.1. Defective Items

If the buyer receives a defective product, they are entitled to return the item and receive a replacement free of charge. The buyer and seller must first agree on how the return will be handled.

2.2. Wrong Item Ordered 

If the buyer orders the wrong item, they are responsible for all return costs. The buyer must contact the seller before returning any items. Returns are accepted for standard products only. Custom-made products specifically manufactured for the buyer cannot be returned.

2.3. Shipping Damage (Ex Works)

If shipping damage occurs, the buyer must immediately notify the carrier upon receipt of the goods. If the buyer arranged shipping under Ex Works terms, the seller cannot file a claim with the carrier. The buyer is responsible for handling this.

2.4. Shipping Damage (CPT Shipping)

If the seller arranged CPT shipping and damage occurs during transport, the buyer must inform the seller immediately. The seller will then file a claim with the carrier.

3. Terms of Payment

3.1. For invoiced purchases, payment is due within 14 days, unless otherwise agreed. A standard credit check will be conducted.

3.2. Late payments will incur interest at the Bank of Finland’s reference rate plus eight percentage points (according to §4a of the Interest Act). As of 2016, this rate is 8.5%.

3.3. Any objections to the invoice must be made within 8 days of receiving it. After this period, the invoice is considered accepted.

4. Guarantee

4.1. A 12-month guarantee applies to all standard products, starting from the date of delivery.

4.2. The guarantee does not cover products that have been misused or incorrectly installed.
